Routes and Services
We meet and start at Bensonhurst Park, riding to Lady Moody Triangle before continuing along Emmons Avenue onto the Brooklyn Greenway, heading east beside the Belt Parkway. The route passes through Shirley Chisholm State Park, continues across southern Queens to Neir's Tavern, then north to Fort Totten for food and refreshments. From there we ride through Beechhurst and along the Flushing Bay Promenade, passing LaGuardia Airport, Astoria, and Rikers Island before crossing onto Randall's Island near Hell Gate. We continue through the Bronx, passing the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, then follow the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail south into Upper Manhattan, connecting to the Hudson River Greenway and finishing at the Empire State Trail kiosk in Battery Park, our final regroup before grabbing a midnight snack and handing out special tokens of appreciation.
